Indonesian's Traditional Snack

and lots of snacks we've known, okay they are snacks that we can meet in all minimarkets in Indonesia.

and

These are the snacks that maybe you don't know and can't find it in all minimarkets. The price? so cheap that it won't hurt you to buy a dozen :D
Meet our Traditional Snack :


LUPIS

Lupis in one of our popular and favourite traditional cake. Made of sticky rice and Pandan make this cake teribbly tasty. Served with melted brown sugar and coconut sprinkles.
It's green (from Pandan) and it's wrapped in leaf and always in triangle form, when it's triangle  wrapped in leaf okay it's Lupis haha




CENIL

CENIL is made from sago. It usually comes with colours. It also served with coconut sprinkles and melted brown sugar or white sugar depends on how you like it :D
Since it made out of sago, it so springy but it's really tasty.





PUTU MAYANG

It's famous in India and usually Indian people who makes it. But i don't know how it got so popular here and has become one of Indonesian's traditional snack. It's served with white sugar and coconut sprinkles or melted brown sugar with chopped jackfruit.





BUBUR SUMSUM

Made of wheat or oat - boiled in water or milk, it's the thinner version of porridge (gruel). It's served with sweet potato balls and melted brown sugar. The gruel taste soft and salty, so perfect to combine with the sweet of melted brown sugar and sweet potato.




Actually there are still so many traditional snack around Indonesia but these mentioned are some of the favorite around the Indonesia.

You almost can't find these snacks on modern market, you have to go the Traditional Market or on the streets.
