Hello Mockingjays! So excited today as i found this Blog Competition : My Ideal Japanese Winter Vacation from BBLOGID!!! Well i saw that it's only 2 days left and hey Japan is one of my dream destination and why not try it?! So, have been doing some research online, seeing that there are so many friends have joined already sharing about their destination going to Japan, and i thought as i love food so much that i made this blog, why not talk about some Japanese Food that are amazing?! So here goes :)

Talking about food, every food has their own taste and their own signature! Even if it's the same menu, but different people cooking it , could bring a different taste, am i right?!
Japanese food is the one that is really phenomenal! How it is not?! It's unique in taste and even in plating.
I haven't gone to Japan yet, and so really want to go there and try all of their food! Even imagining tasting every food in every corner in Japan excites me already! Especially when it comes to Winter Season! Oh Yeah touching snow has become my ultimate dream since i was a kid! As living in Indonesia with its tropical season, i haven't got the chance to touch or smell the snow, but still love you Indonesia :))
This post is specially written to make my dream come true (hope so #fingersCrossed).
And because of me falling in love with Japan also, let me introduce you to the signature dishes from Japan , especially for the winter season :))
1. MATCHA
I can say that Japan is a country of Mactha! Yeaaahh you can find all kind of Matcha made in Japanese restaurants in anywhere, that makes me wants to taste it in the Origin Country my self even more. And i am sure they have all kind of Matcha made foods. and here are some of them :

i heard they have vending machine in every corner that sells bottled Mactha Green Tea, yumm! A hot matcha tea is soulmate to the winter season.

it sounds funny yeah, but it's one of the best! Imagine to have it right form it's origin, hmmm

2. RAMEN
Can't leave this out, can us?! Well okay, busted, this is MY FAVORITE! A bowl of hot Ramen and Boiled Eggs, man my tongue is dancing! The signature taste of asian's food is everywhere when you have one bowl of Ramen in front of you. Japan is also known for it's Ramen and boiled eggs.

3. TORI ZOSUI
Tori Zosui is a chicken porridge and usually served with spice, soy sauce and corn. It's perfect for winter season as it's hot and so warming. Perfect for breakfast in winter morning.
4. YOSENABE
Yosenabe is probably one of the most popular hot pot in Japan. It's highly versatile when it comes to the ingredients used. Ain't it just perfect to warm your winter season in Japan ;)
5. UDON
I know we all familiar with this dish. You can find Udon almost in all Japanese restaurants in every country including Indonesia, What makes it different with Ramen is the noodle of course! Udon has bigger volume of noodles.

6. ODEN
Oden is a Japanese one-pot dish in which ingredients are slowly simmered in a soy sauce based soup that warms the body and soul. That is why Oden is one of the most typical Japanese comfort "soul food", making it the perfect to eat especially during the winter.
7. MISO SOUP
Just like it's name it's a hot soup served in a bowl to warm the body. Makes it so delicious to eat when it comes to the cold weather. Served with tofu in a soup, simple dish but yet so warming and tasty.
8. NATTO
Natto is a traditional Japanese food made from soybeans fermented with Bacillus subtilis. This food is very common for Japanese meal time, since it is really good for health. However, it kind of has a unique smell. Because of that, some people do not like it.
9. OSHIRUKO
sweet bean paste with mochi, you can serve it hot for winter or cold for summer.
10. SUSHI AND SASHIMI
Well, it's actually not a special dish for winter, but since Sushi and Sashimi is the most popular food in every country from Japan, i have to mention it then. Sushi and Sashimi are usually sold together, you can have both or separated. Me myself prefer sushi than sashimi. How about you?

10. JAPANESE DESSERT
One common thing about culinary in around the globe is that there will always be a spot for dessert. Who doesn't love them, right?! Wondering what Japan serve for dessert? Check them out! (i'm holding my breath*--* )

Anpan is a bread filled with red bean paste inside. You can easily find it on the pastry store, but tasting in straight from Japan would be really amazing, right?!
D O R A Y A K I
I bet you all know what this is, right?! Yup, it's our favorite, Dorayaki! Got so popular since our lovely Doraemon movie. Remember how we wish we were on the movie just to taste the dorayaki? Yeah i know how that feels :p
T A I Y A K I
Taiyaki is what we called Fish Cake in Japan. Still filled in the red bean paste, me myself love this very much. I like to buy the ice cream one in the store ^^
W A G A S H I
Wagashi is sweets from Japan and usually served with hot tea :) Look at their cute forms, how can i eat them :(
M O C H I
Mochi is also one of the most popular dessert from Japan. We can find many kind of mochi here. And in Japan? They have a really a lot of kind of mochi, so many cute and filling type inside. sluurpp!
Heard about Mochi soup??? Yeah, only in Japan!

GALA YUZAWA
Gala Yuzawa is one of recommended winter vacation destination for tourists in Japan. This Ski Resort can be reach only for 77 minutes with Shinkansen from Tokyo Station. Shinkansen is a train that runs really fast and when i mean really fast, IT's ULTIMATE FAST! Seeing the information and pictures on their web are so amazing! Really want to experience the ski in such a beautiful place in an amazing country, Japan!
